I found bullets in my attic any ideas on how to safely remove these and dispose of them somehow?
Question:Besides into another life form.
Answers:
Contact the police department and let them take them in to dispose of them properly. We had people do that all the time where I worked and we disposed of lots of old stuff found by someone later.
Don't touch them anymore than you already have just to play it safe :)
Call the police department or the fire department. They will remove them and properly dispose of them.
Target shooting is dabomb! but if you dont' have anything to put them in take them down to the police department and tell them where your found them and they will take them.
Have an antique dealer look at them first ! If not valuable or a collectors item , call an NRA memeber , he`ll know what to do with them !!
Little ones, (22 cal.) or short and fat, (pistol bullets, usually 9mm, 45 cal, or so on) mostly do not say on the bottom the year (in 2 digits) of manufacture. If they are long and skinny, that's rifle ammo. It might have something like a "44" (1944) or "63" (1963) besides the maker's name and calibre (such as 7.62 Nato or 30-06. Best bet, Free, if you don't have the gun that these fit, toss them. Especially if they are tarnished and ESPECIALLY if they are green! Now, some people actually collect rare live ammo. Google it up, if you are inclined. The 22's are worthless. But if they are other than that, put the ends on the old scanner and capture the marks. They might be worth some money. If they are old, DON'T try to shoot them!
