Just moved to LV NEVADA. Small bugs in my home?

Question:What are these bugs? They're on the carpet. They seem to hang out upside down on their heads all over the carpet. I also see them on the hardwood floors in the living room just crawling around and on the couch occasionally. They're a bit smaller than a tic tac. I think...I haven't had tic tacs in a while. What are these bugs called? I've never seen them before. They're hard to crush so you have to pick them up with a paper towel and they seem to pop after you squeeze them really hard.

Thanks in advance. This is really bugging me. They're everywhere!

Answers:
Eww I just looked up Carpet Bug and they are not easy to get rid of since they lay 30-100 eggs at a time. (1st link below).

I looked online for exterminators in your area and found that Truly Nolen Pest Control is rated the best due to their service and because they use odorless chemicals that are safe for pets to be around.

Advice: Get the exterminator out there after you get rid of all open food products.

Good Luck, let us know how it works out.

We were just in Henderson(in-laws) this last week, lol. 114 degrees! You can have it,lol. Have you seen those wasps they call "trantula hawks" yet? Their HUGE but don't seem real aggressive. Have fun there,we almost moved there 6 years ago but chose Oregon instead.
I lived in Vegas for twenty years, in different areas in both homes and apartments, con-dos. If you think this is bad, wait and hope you don't get roaches and, now they've had a increase of Palm roaches from Florida.

This is one thing I don't miss about Vegas, the insects, the tarantulas, the scorpion all the native wild life. I'll take flies and mosquito's any day.
The word bug is often used to refer to any insect and sometimes even to spiders, which are not insects. Originally a term that meant a hobgoblin or scarecrow, bug had, by the early 1600s, metamorphosed into a term used to describe any of various insects or similar organisms, such as the centipede. But in strict biological usage, a bug (or true bug) is an insect having mouthparts that are adapted for piercing and sucking and are contained in a beak-shaped structure called a rostrum. Thus, an aphid, a leaf bug, and a stink bug are classified as bugs. All insects, including bugs, have six legs and a body divided into three sections—head, thorax, and abdomen. The bug that you’re referring to is a cockroach. They love to stay in dark and dingy places. You can use insecticide to kill these bugs but the best way I think is to maintain cleanliness in your place.
