Do you have to eliminate the hive?
Question:I have what i think is a very large bee hive in the siding of my house, how do i get rid of the bees and or the hive, do i have to get rid of the hive?

Call your local agricultural extension agent. They should be able to refer you to a bee keeper that will come out and remove the bees without killing them. This is very important since there is a sharp decline in bee numbers. Bees are very important to pollination of crops that we eat. No Bees, No humans. Hope this helps
get a professional to remove and destroy this hive...it maybe wasps...we had that problem .had a pest control come out spray and then we sealed the opening after a few days...not recommend to do this yourself , they were special suits to keep from getting stung...and look for a 90 day guarentee...Good luck
I have had to deal with quite a few bee hives in my days as a maintenance manager of a summer camp. In general the only way to get rid of a bee hive is to destroy it. For hives in the ground, I have found that if I waited until night, and then sprayed it with Raid, dug up the hive and then sprayed it again, it works best.
For hives in the sidings of houses or hanging from the beams of a house, I'll spray into the hive and then destroy it with a stick. If you leave any part of the hive still there, the bees will come back.
Also, as you can imagine, the bees will be extremely upset at you. It'd be great if everyone had a beesuit, but that's not always the case. I always wore at least three layers of clothing, with all the sleeves and pant legs tucked in. Then I wore a hat with mosquito netting to keep the bees away from my face.
P.S. Raid is flammable so make sure you don't have any fire sources nearby. When bees get into your suit and you start running, there's no telling which direction you'll be running. Trust me, I know from experience.
