Illegal dumping? I may have seen it.?
Question:I usually go for a walk around 5am with my dog. The river that flows by my house is usually filthy. One morning I 've seen a big 18 wheeler with a tank on it, looked like they were emptying somehting in the water. They didn't see me. This morning, they were leaving once again while I started towards the river. The river had a foam coat on it. Like suds of some sort. It was really dark so I waited for the sun to come up and I have taken pictures. What should I do?

Definitely go to your local police. If they won't do anything because you don't have enough evidence, try to get a picture of the truck. license plate or other identifying logo. Don't be by yourself to do this. Get a friend to walk with you if you are nervous, and have them pose with the dog while the truck is in the background so it won't arouse suspicions in the trucker/dumper. Or just try to jot down the numbers or logo on a notepad as they drive past. See how often they are at the river and try to talk the police into a stakeout to catch them. Give them times/dates/locations. Good luck on getting these illegal dumpers taken care of.

Report it to the nearest local Health Department and the local Police
If you have any information about the truck report them. Illegal dumping is a nation wide problem, and the people who do it are the scum of the earth.
