How do I get rid of some EXTREMELY annoying morning doves that NEVER shut up and crap on my house and deck?
Question:I have several morning doves who seem to like to sit and do that stupid coo noise under my bedroom window every morning way too damn early. They also land on the rails of my deck and crap on that and the house and driveway. The are EXTREMELY annoying and I need to get rid of them to get some sleep and not set my beverage in dove crap each night outside. I am in a small neighborhood so I can't safely shoot them! The plastic owl is a joke and I have looked at expensive systems..does anyone have any ideas!?! That retarded sound is driving me bonkers, and it seems to start before even God gets up! (and goes on incessantly all day long)

buy a fake owl .you can get one at most gardening stores
Try hawk sounds, you know schreeching, it may make you nuts for a bit, but they will stay away ! then you won't need the hawk sounds.
get a cat
Get an old cardboard box flatten it out and draw a picture of an hawk or eagle with the wings spread out, cut it out and hang it near where the doves are. Or! buy one of those stone cats and place it on your roof. That should get rid of them. Have a good day.
Get a statue of an owl! Most birds will stay away from an owl as they are their natural predators! ;-)=
my granny used to make paper fans((4 feathers fan)) & use coke tins ((she fill them with stones, or hang two strings,every string catching a stone from both sides!!))i know this is premitive but it may help!!
First of all - check if there is a nest, this may be the reason they sit there all the time. If there is - remove it.
You can purchase special nets and cover off the areas that you don't use, but the pigeons sit on all the time, also - you can buy pigeon spikes and stick them on the ledges, most frequently used by pigeons (they don't hurt them, it's just the pigeons can't land on them if they placed very closely - they try to land then away). Fake owls, hawks or cats on the roof also work, but not for long - they get used to them.

Adapt. I have a pair that has returned every year for ten years - though they may be different ones by now. They make that warbling sound and crap all over the deck. I use a hose to wash it off. They are around for about 5 weeks until the chick flies off then they move on. No big deal. Now, how do I get rid of the neighbors who have a party EVERY friday night that usually lasts to 3 in the morning?
Its not MORNING silly... its MOURNING, as in the "mourning" sound they make. not sure how to discourage them but maybe if you put lots of plants on your balcony as they like to feed on bare ground. Also they stay close to their nests when they have eggs so maybe check around your property for nests and re-locate them?
