How do you get rid of ants in ur house!?
Question:
Answers:
Use BAYGON or RAID.
We use ant traps in all the rooms.
I use "Ant-rid", it works EVERY time! But I think it's only available in Australia... If you're from Australia, however:

I used to have alot of them.. it takes awhile ( maybe a week) but I used a liquid stuff called "Terro". You can find it at a farm and home supply store. It comes in a little bottle about 2 inches high. You put drops of the stuff on little squares of paper and set it in their ant trail. They will eventually eat the stuff and carry it back to their nest. It takes a few days but it works.
I agree with Traci S - Terro is the stuff to use. Works great. You can find info on it at www.terro.com I've used it several times, always with good results.
my neighbor an extermiantor retired now told me
to stop ants from entry into your house
get white chalk and draw a line where you suspect they are coming in from
ants will not cross over the chalk line also use boric acid around pipe openings under sinks counter top edges permiter of base ment
boric acid will last 6 months killing roaches ants and other crawling insects
also the best way to stop insects is to seal the cracks in your walls with that expanding foam
drill holes in the walls in as many spots as possible and fill them with the foam
i did this last year in basement because of moisture coming through walls destroying the finsih of the walls
after i cleaned off the broken parts of walls i re paved them then used that epoxy paint to cover them also outside of house i sealed all cracks and completly coated the concrete pavement and bricks with thompsons water seal for cement
now basement is totally dry and insect free
my house is sealed i think there is no way any insect can come in from neighbors house or outside underground
I have to agree with the use of Terro. Ants seem to find it much yummier than other food, and will cluster around it and eat it all away in no time. Keep refilling it until no more ants come to eat. This poison kills the whole colony because they carry it back with them for them all to eat.
If you live in an older home with many cracks, there is not much you can do to keep ants out. Try to keep food spills wiped up, do not leave sweet drinks out overnight, and put away leftover foods immediately.
Just as an added piece of interest, when I signed my lease, I got a paper that listed natural problems that occur and wouldn't cause problems with my landlord. Such as, worn carpet in high traffic areas, doorknobs becoming loose, etc. One of the things listed was "ants in house after a rain".
Put everything sweet in plastic containers. Keep floor clean.
Wash it w/ Vinegar water. Ants hate Vinegar. Spray "Hot shot" bug killer. Kills bugs up to 3mths. Safe around animals and children after it dries. You can buy it at Home Depot.
