I agree with the person who posted before me, new paint and fix up the little things in the house, Washer and Dryer helps too just for fyi , and appliances.. in general
Fresh paint, uncluttered rooms, clean carpeting. Fix banged up woodwork, replace missing molding, replace burned out light bulbs. Sweep sidewalks, paint steps to your house, plant flowers (curb appeal), trim back unruly bushes and trees. Clean windows, floors, counter-tops.
Paint is the best way to improve the look. Also landscape the exterior. Curb appeal is everything. As far as the inside goes...all the money is in kitchens and baths - everything else is just sticks and bricks. Concentrate on these areas.
INSTALL GRANITE COUNTER TOPS,HARDWOOD FLOORS, STONE TILES IN BATH OR KITCHEN,PAINT EXTERIOR OF HOUSE, PAINT INTERIOR OF HOUSE,UP DATE WINDOWS,UPDATE LIGHTING,PLANT GRASS WHERE NEEDED. GOOD LUCK
Definately landscape outside. Since replacing flooring and cabinets aren't exactly simple, try changing hardware. Update drawer/cabinet pulls. Replace doorknobs, faucets. Updating light fixtures can usually be done pretty easily.
