Best way to make parade shade?

Question:The local parade goes past our house on Sunday. It goes past a treeless corner of our yard. I'd like to provide shade to anyone who's sitting there this weekend. But, I don't want to spend too much or for the setup to be too complicated.

What's a good solution to provide temporary shade?

Answers:
Attach an umbrella to your table.

Or better yet, go to the dollar store and purchase cheap umbrellas - use duct tape to attach them to the back of each persons chair. You could do an assortment of colors which in and of itself would be festive!
