What kind of plant can i get?
Question:i just got a new job and i want to get a little plant to liven up the place, but i'm in cube-city in the back corner. if i peer over the cube walls, i can't even see a window. are there any plants that are cute that can survive without natural sunlight?
Answers:
There are tons of low light plants to get. Go to a local indoor gardening center and ask them. Example of low light plants are...Ferns, peace lily, all philodendron. I like flowering plants but they are only going to last 2 months if you buy one that has tons of buds. Example of these plants are...Azaleas, Begonias, Cyclamen and if you want one that will last about 6 months buy a Bromeliad.
If your office has fluorescent lighting, plants can survive without access to window lighting.
I would suggest a nice vine... (you can find these small at the grocery store) or a spider plant, both are easy to care for and grow quickly.
English Ivy or spider plants can live well in an office space. :)
Hobby Lobby has plant kits. Get one of those for a nice little garden in your cubicle.
