Do sunflowers grow back year to year,or do you have to replant them?

Question:I tore the shoots off near the base, and was just wondering if I need to dig them up and replant,or water them and wait for them to return. Thanks!

Answers:
Unless some of the seeds dropped off the plant and will come back this year, you are going to have to replant.

99% sure you'll need to replant them.
