Anyone know a bit about ants?

Question:why do they carry there dead crippled freinds around with them?
cause my mum put ant powder on this nest in my garden, and the ones who survived are pulling around there dead fellow ant mates with them
any idea why?

Let this be part of the learning curve of life, just because a life form is smaller than ours don't be fooled into thinking it doesn't matter, it can't feel pain or that it hasn't any feelings, never hurt threaten or kill anything just because it's smaller than you, unless that is it threatens your life,that's probably why these knob-heads go out lamping and shooting rabbits, in another life they must have been a carrot, come to think of it they haven't progressed much further in this life either.
