Answers:
termites
Congratulations, you have termites..
i didn't see a pic
They could be winged ants, or they could be termites. I think you can tell the difference by how wide their abdominal section is, and if their 2nd (back) set of wings is shorter or the same length as the front. In termites, front and back are the same and they are "fat" in the abdominal area. For winged ants, the back wings are shorter than the front, and they have skinny adbomens.

I couldn't find the picture you referred to, but from the description you gave, it sounds like termites. If in fact it is termites, you definitely NEED to worry about them eating your house. That's what they do. You can go to the YAHOO! homepage and search for termites in the images search for pictures to reference by. I think there are several different species or varieties of a species.
usally this is the swarm part of a termite infestation... I could not find your picture online, alais I didnt look much either , but we have sub ter termites in our area, and every year i get the fling swarming longated types of insects around
I didn't see any picture either. But,,,,, those are swarming termites. I would call an exterminator and have your house checked. They may very well be "eating your house" No LOL at all. OK>>>>>>>I found the picture. TERMITES!!
