My puppy chewed through the cords of 2 lamps. I'm wondering if I can replace the cords?

Question:He chewed ALL the way through the cords (i.e. they are in 2 pieces) so electrical tape obviously won't help. I like my lamps so I'd like to be able to remove the old cords and replace them with new ones, but I have no idea if this is possible. If it is, what do I need and where could I find it?

Answers:
Yes, you will need to purchase a lamp rewiring kit at some place like Lowe's.

It is safer for you to replace the entire wiring line - from where the bulb goes to the plug at the end than for you to try to splice the cord (which puppy has already done for you) and put in a connector (which can be done, too, but I personally don't think it is as safe).

Yes you can replace them. You'll need a new wiring kit and can get in most hardware dept.such as WalMart etc.
