There is a beetle in my bath - why can't it fly out?

Question:

Answers:
Because of the physical properties of water, being liquid when the beetle tries to fly away it will only sink. It needs a solid surface to literally push off of in order to gain flight. Otherwise it will try again and again, until it tires and dies. Was this a hypothetical question or actual?

why dont you just bash it with your slipper and skoosh it away down the plughole
lots of beetles cannot fly. so u will have to help it out by picking it up and letting it go onto your outside window sill.
