What can you find at home that mosquitos are attracted to?
Question:are they attracted to peanut butter, widow cleaner, etc.
Answers:
They seem to be attracted to me :( Seriously though, mosquitos are attracted to carbon dioxide. They have special sensors which detect small changes in the levels of carbon dioxide in the air, and they buzz toward it. It's only the female skeeters that feed on blood. Males only feed on nectar, and females will feed on nectar for energy between blood feedings.
They are attracted to nasty, fetid, standing water.
any still, standing water.
That is where they lay their eggs. They will swarm
Mosquitoes are attracted by carbon dioxide. That's how they track you down.

Mosquitos are attracted to carbon dioxide that is expelled from breath of humans and animals. They don't seek out peanut butter or window cleaner because they are bloodsuckers, not butterflies. They also lay eggs in standing water. The larvae develop underwater, like tadpoles.
