Orchids, do they flower all year long?
Question:there weren't any care instructions included except to water it every other day with 1 to 2 ounces of water, and keeping it in moderate sunlight. i really like the flowers so don't want to kill it. any suggestions?

they normally flower all year. when the flowers start to wilt, pinch them off. they should start to flower again in 4-6 weeks.
A single orchid plant will generally flower once a year at the aprix same month. If your orchid is a Phaleanopsis (moth orchid)they often flower again if you leave the spike on the plant and cut it just below the last flower.Keep it at temperatures you feel comforable in and dont let it dry out or keep it wet. Every 2 to 3 days should be ok
