How can I get rid of all the spiders on my property?
Question:I live in a rural area. Each summer we have a few spiders around my property. They're actually kind of cool to watch sitting in their webs. But this year is different. The spiders seem to be taking over! Every morning and night I can't walk out of my house to go out to my cars without stepping through a web. They're even getting into the cars. There are webs totally encircling my car port, all the way out to my front gate. I'm looking for a way to get rid of them, without lots of harsh chemicals. I have 6 dogs living on my property, and their safety comes first. I've heard about mixing Lysol and water and sponging it onto walls to get rid of spiders, but seeing as how the problem is outside, there aren't many walls to treat. They're not coming into my house, just taking over my yard.
Answers:
Go to a garden supply center or Walmart and get a granular mixture that spreads over your lawn to kill ticks, mites, and spiders. Keep childrena and pets off for at least 72 hrs. or read warning label on pkg. to protect your loved ones.
Well if you don't want to do anything with harmful chemicals... you should clean your house and not like lazily I mean get your butt off the couch and start cleaning like crazy. Well this next part is kind of useless but try to find the source of where the spiders are coming from. Once you find it tear it down with all of your might!
first try just sweeping the webs away. sometimes, depending on the species, spiders will entirely relocate if they are threatened. if youve already tried that, a natural remedy is getting an outdoor cat. a lot of cats enjoy hunting spiders. Or you could try introducing small lizards onto your property.
another question is are the spiders dangerous? like, are they a venemous species that could potentially harm you or your dogs? that would be worth finding out, because at that point it might be better to just go ahead and opt for the chemicals.
Just ignore them. Spiders will help you with pest control.
There really is no way to get rid of them outside. Just sweep away the webs so that your home does not look like a haunted house.
