Mouse trap. Or, if you're into the "save the mouse" mod you can buy a have-a-heart trap. On a mouse trap, peanut butter is the best lure, it's fragrant and tasty. Be aware, generally were there's a mouse there are more to follow. And yes, your dogs should have to deal with mice either, just place the traps where no one gets hurt. PLEASE, don't use poison, other animals eat the dead mice and are poisoned as well.
Well, I had a mouse in my garage. We bought mouse traps and put cheese in them but oddly it didn't work. The mouse took the cheese from all the traps but we didn't catch anything. After 2 tries with that we put peanut butter on the traps. We caught it that day. Give that a try.

if there was food in the dogs kennel yes it would probably go in there. you need to get some glue traps to put out or poison, but considering you have a pet the glue would be better, but remember that the mouse will be alive while stuck to the trap - you will know hes alive while having to dispose of him in some manner...
You should try and catch the mouse in a humane way, like you should buy those little transparent boxes where there is a rectangular box and at the very end of it is like some cheese and when the mouse enters the box the opening comes down and captures the mouse. i think the Mouse would want to get in anything that will hide him, like your dogs kennel, underneath the couches or sofa.
Real cheeze on a snap mouse trap or mouse glue trap they both work. I like the glue trap better it harder for them to get their feet off the glue. Sometime the snap mouse trap doesn't always catch them.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by wanting to get into your dog's kennel. A mouse comes in looking for one thing and one thing only - food.
The best way to remove them - and this is NOT a silly comment - is to get a good hunting cat. Once the mice get in, if they find the food they're looking for and a good place to nest, will stay in there and breed. The poison traps and such will work for a short time, but they figure them out.
When I had mice - and a good hunting cat - the mice would much rather run into a cup that I put down than face the cat. I would then return them to the great outdoors. Once there the word must have gotten out because after a period of several months I had no more mice - ever - for the remaining 12 years I lived in that house.
peanut butter always werks or if u want to be sensitve to the mouse they have black boxes with glu bait..and they spin around shut and just chuck it away..OR..play the Monkees at 78rpm real loud and put acid in the peanut butter...they will come out with their hands up.
If your dogs kennel has food or something to nest in then yes a mouse might get into it. If your not apposed to using mouse traps then when you use them instead of cheese put peanut butter on them. The mice love it and they can't grab it fast so you almost always catch them. Usually where there is one mouse there are others. Good Luck
Use a mouse trap. Do you have dog food in the dog's kennel? The mouse is after food. Please make sure you get the garbage out every day or every other day-as needed. As for the dog food, make sure the bag is closed and sealed. And for the dish of dog food, you miht need to feed the dog twice a day, and pick up the food dish the rest of the time. I really don't like keeping food from animals-they know when they are hungry. Hope this helps you.
