What is the best way to fertilize succulents?

Question:I am a new succulent fan and have several small, thriving plants. I am noticing that the plants are starting to become weak at the point where they start to trail - right at the top of the container. My first fix was to pad the containers - but that really isn't a help.

I use a liquid drop 10-15-10 solution for my house plants and the plants I have in containers that are outside. Can I use this solution on succulents? Will it burn the plants?

Any ideas most appreciated. I just want my succulents to be as healthy as I can get them.

Thanks!

I use potato water. I save the water from my potato's when I cook them.I let it cool and then I pour it into a clean empty milk jug. My succulents luv it. Really all my plants do. I read that in and old farmers book I found at a flea market. dated 1058! Really Cool! Try it see if yours drink it up. some of mine are producing blooms this week. they're beautiful. They seem happy, they look good. very strong. very green. I love them, I'm proud of them just like you! Hope you try it and hope it works for you. Not to much tho , you know what to do.
happy growing
