Frog in a small outside water fountain?

Question:I try to explain. My mother have a little 20 gallon water fountain. After fall and winter the leaves clog the filter. So, around Feb. I turn it off and then clean about, like today. So, there no Bubbling. When I cleaned it out today there a little frog in the water, cool, I think. But, I wonder if it was eating maybe mosquito larve? If, I turn the pump on and it spray, will the frog leave from the added turbulence? I think the pump would keep mosquitos away as they use stag water. So, am I removing a food source for the frog?

Answers:
frogs don't eat the mosquito larvae. instead, they eat the adult mosquito. moreover, mosquito tend to prefer still and stagnant water, but bubbling, fresh water is fair game. a little spray and turbulence in the water i'm sure won't disturb the frog. but if it's extreme, then the little frog might find lodgings elsewhere.

am I removing a food source for the frog? I doubt that -- he just a wet place to hang out ---
