How can I get rid of flies from my indoor plants?

Question:It started when I added new soil to my plants.

Answers:
Yes , these little flies are called Gnats. They live of fresh soil, also the dead roots from house plant´s. Best way to stop this is to allow your plant´s to dry out for a week , before watering them again. You will soon rid the problem. Most people get confused by thinking they are fruit flies

I'd replace the soil again, but don't use the same source.
Spray water diluted with dish soap on them. That should do the trick. If you keep transplanting them, they might go into shock.
Get some good fly paper. They have ones that attract the flies, they stick, and you throw them out.
You don't say what kind of flies. But this should work: Wash the plants in the sink or shower, or outdoors. Make sure to wash underneath the leaves. Then spray with soapy water.
I never tried the drying out method, but it sounds like it could work. But first get rid of the live flies.
