How can you soften hard shower water?
Question:The hard water in my shower really dries out my skin, is there anyway to soften up the water or eliminate this problem all together? Ive seen adds on TV for this shower head that has a water filter in it...does anyone know if this thing works?

I have tried the attachable water softener shower head. I believe it does work, but the charcoal filter needs to be replaced fairly regularly. I wasn't able to obtain refills for the tv version. Lowes and Home Depot sell similar items and keep the replacement filters in stock. I would choose one of those. Yes, I noticed a difference in water quality and my body wash seemed to lather better and rinse cleaner.
you need to install a whole house water softening system - those filters do not really work or last long - time to call the Culligan Man
I have a whole house system. I absolutly love it. I really don't think thtat I could live without it. Depending on where you live you should be able to find someone in your area.
