I was using a paint remover called Bare-Z-All and I got some on my wood floor...?
Question:Today I was using this paint remover on a door frame. When I was scraping off the old paint and the remover some of the scrapings missed the newspaper I had laid out and ended up on the floor. I tried to pick them up and scrub the spot but I just ended up smearing it around.
Any ideas for cleaning this up w/o totally wrecking my floors?
Answers:
first step is to neutralize the stripper with a bit of baking soda sprinkled over the area. Thinl of it like hair coloring. Neutralize then rinse in your case neutralize then use a spray bbotlle of water and sponge the mess up. it will take 3 to 4 times to remove all and see how much damage was done. Minor can be repaired by reapplying a coat of shelac then wax to the area more severe like color having been removed apply matching stain then sealer.
No there really isn't. You will have to learn to live with that.
