Home security system??
Question:What are the Pro's and Con's to owning a home security system? And whats the differents between putting a sticker on your door that says you have security system, then actually owning one? Full Details please.

Personally I would never be without a security system, nor would my wife. Of course being in the industry does somewhat create a bias. The thing my wife always brings up is the comfort in knowing none of those little bumps in the night are substantial unless followed by a siren. Another advantage is having life safety devices such as Carbon Monoxide and smoke detectors. It is also nice to have a water sensor by the hotwater tank just in case it leaks while we are away.

As for the stickers, it might work but then again there are those crackheads that cannot read and may try to see if it is real or not. You are not the first person to have that idea.

I don't need a sticker. I have a dog. I also have other types of home protection. 45 and shotgun and more that I will not list. :))!
If you live in an area with high crime, you may want to check with several home security companies, see what they offer and the prices. Also see how much they charge if an alarm goes off unintentionally. A check with the Better Business Bureau will help.
