How many people...?
Question:I was just wondering how many people don't have a land line...and choose to use their cell even in their home. I'm thinking of canceling the home phone line. Good or bad idea? Thanks in advance

i cancelled my land line. i realized that i NEVER used it. I dont regret it at all, cuz i am saving money!

There are 3 families in my family that did this. Gets rid of some of those unwanted calls. Works fine for them. But make sure you keep you cell charged.
I haven't had a land line in over a year, and I have no regrets.

I keep my land line. It only costs me $28 a month for vonage, so no big deal! And I can call anywhere practically so why not.
In my opinion that is a very good idea. We did this 2yrs ago. We only use our cell phones, we no longer have a land line phone. For our internet, we have a cable modem. That way we don't have to have a phone line just to have internet. I think your moving to the right thing. We find it to be cheaper as well. Just make sure you get on a good plan so you don't go over your minutes. Good luck to you.
Wow, join the club. My landline just sits there. I barely pick it up to use and when it does ring (which is once every blue moon) I have to remember where it is. Often times I will walk right pass it to pick up the cell phone and make a call.
The only reason why I have it is because I need to make calls out of the country (Brasil). If I didn't have family in Brasil, I wouldn't have one at all.
Another option is to just keep a basic line. Which means, no three way calling, caller id, voice mail, anonymous rejection and all that other stuff we pay extra for. I done this in the past and it cut my bill in half.

Actually, I don't have a cell phone so I guess I'll keep my land line.
