Snakes, yikkes!!?
Question:ok, so i live about 50 ft. away from the woods behind my house. there are always every now and again some random snakes around our house. today our neighbor killed a water moccasion!! do you know of any poisons or garden chemicals or ANYTHING that will get rid of these snakes?!

I noticed at WalMart Recently they were selling Something with Sulfur in it to repel Snakes. It says to spread around your property outline and the Snakes will not crawl over it..Don't know if it works or not..The best thing I have found to keep Snakes away is a Good Cat..My Cat killed a Copperhead in my Basement last year "Shiver"
My grandma used to hang cotton soaked in kerosine around to keep the snakes away...it really seems dangerous to me, but I guess it worked.
Moth balls can be used in, under, around structures to keep snakes out. There are several retail remedies available at most homecenters for use outdoors around plants and such but most caution not to use where children will be. Kind of defeats the purpose.
