What is the correct way to set the time of a mechanical clock?

Question:Do I move the hand clockwise or anticlockwise to do it the correct way?

Answers:
You can do it either way, but if it's an Older/Antique Clock, just do it Clockwise and wait for the stirkes at the hour and where ever it strikes.

Since the hands move "clockwise" I would say that the best way is to go with the normal hand movement.
