There are ultrasonic products that are designed to eliminate rodents from the area for a cheap solution, but it is limited in ways. If you are really aggressive and had nothing better to do, you could remove the top layer of soil and lay down some golpher netting and replace grass on top of it, so there is a barrier between the ground and the grass, and golphers can't dig there anymore.

You have several choices. !. live traps. 2. poison (not very target specific) 3. shoot it ( not that easy, Don't aim for the head it's really thick and if you miss, you have one MAD animal on your hands) 3. I know this might sound weird but a friend of ours stuffed very dirty diapers down the hole. It worked for them. At least it not dangerous and I'm sure you can find some somewhere. BLUE
