Do you know of a natural way to get rid of slugs in the garden?
Question:I live in Germany, and we get the biggest slugs! They eat all of our plants, and I want to get rid of them-no chemicals please!
We set out a pan of beer, but the only ones we caught were small-are the others older and wiser?
Answers:
I remember reading once that they cannot stand the smell of themselves - ground-up slugs.
I have no idea how one would find such a product - maybe some plant store could advise you.
I certainly would not want to grind them myself!
SALT.HEHEHE i dont know, try buying a repellent from a local hardware store.
put salt on the slugs and they will die or you could pick them up but i doubt that you want to do that.
Just put salt all around the place-they try to stay away from salt because it kills them-they litterally disingrate when you poor salt on them.
Good luck!

Put a few small dishes filled with beer in your garden. The slugs are attracted to it, and when they enter they drown. Problem solved.
Buy your self a cantaloupe. Eat the fruit part leaving the shell cut in half. In the evening place the shells in your garden the slugs will crawl under and in the morning scoop up shell and slugs and dispose in trash.
Older neighbor used to make a spray out of her husband's cigar butts & water to kill all kinds of critters in her vegetable garden.
Guess you could get a couple of cheap cigars & make your own.
