TV licences keep them or scrap them?

Question:

Answers:
I think we should have the choice to pay for what we watch and if you dont watch bbc you shouldnt have to pay for it.

Keep.
well i need one in case i get done but i think they should scrap them! i never watch bbc channels only two pints on bbc 3 which is on free view lol
Scrap them. Forced to pay to the BBC and what does 'auntie beeb' do - squanders huge amounts paying B-list celebrities far more than they are worth.
Scrap them Just got my reminder in today £135 And there is nothing on Tv worht watching either Its going to break my heart paying that money in July If it wasnt for the kids I wouldnt bother having a TV
Get rid of them- the only good thing about BBC is no adverts. Think of all the other channels and we dont have to pay a licence fee for them. You even have to pay licence if you never watch BBC. This probably makes up 5% of our TV viewing. Its ridiculous. Just another way for the moneygrabbers to fill their pockets.
yeh what is the deal with that! i hate having to pay tv license it seems so pointless... and isnt all that cheap!!
x
Presume you are talking about previous years as you should keep the current one handy. There is no point really in keeping them, but having said that I have them for the past 20 years.Interesting to see how the price has altered in this time.
Scrap them. I thought the license fee meant you didn't have to put up with adverts but they now spend so long advertising their own stuff it's as bad as the other channels.
only pay for things you use, you can always buy anew when the need arises.
Keep them. 95% of my viewing is BBC as the quality is better & there are no ads. Keep the licence, scrap Eastenders!

BBC radio is good & loads of groundbreaking comedy comes via it (ie The Mighty Boosh).

The BBC website is also considered groundbreaking and among the best on the web.
Scrap them.
I like the adverts, they are good for nipping to the loo or putting the kettle on or some are even enjoyable to watch. So I say scrap TV Licences.
scrap them. Most of the money seems to go on fat cats wages anyway!
scrap them, the bbc are basically now like an independent channel anyway, in between the shows they are showing adverts for other shows. so whats the difference between that and say, an advert for persil?
i rest my case your honour.
They should scrap them. The beeb is rubbish anyway and I only watch 3 programmes on there in a full week. We should only have to pay for what we watch - or a subscription service like Sky would be good where if we didn't watch a channel e shouldn't have to pay for it!
if we or rather they the government scrap them how would they be able to pay Terry Wogan
keep them... seal them in plastic they will be worth something later... take a look at stamps and hockey cards who knew then...A...
Scrap them, don't see why I should have to pay for channels I don't watch. Or at least they should give you a choice.
The funny thing is you still have the annoying breaks where they advertise their other channels, so whats the point?
Keep - your television licence pays for national and local television, local and national radio, the BBC website, BBC newsgathering and sets a standard for the television industry. It is also responsible for developing new technology like freeview and it is responsible for training many of the people who work in the media - whilst they may currently work for Channel 4, Virgin etc in many cases they developed their skills and style on the BBC
