Do people still build/live in castles today?
Question:
Answers:
Yes, people still live in castles, the people that have had the castle in their family for generations. For example: Windsor Castle (the Queen's residence), Cawdor Castle, Raby Castle and Alnwick Castle.
People don't build them anymore, one because it's extremely expensive and two because we don't need that level of defence in our residences. No one is going to launch a catapult these days!
yeah they just restore them. only if they're not protected by the british heritage that is.
yes the queen and the royal family also people with lots of money restore old castles to live in them
They still live in them. Look at Windsor. Disgraceful waste of space for a bunch of no-good thick as pig sh!t airheads.
Personally I think the whole castle/palace stock should be turned into affordable housing for key workers.
Just think how many flats for teachers and nurses you could get out of that monstrosity Buckingham Palace.
Only sand castles and bouncy ones, lol. ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaah haah haaa hahaaaa
Yes. Someone who lives a few miles from us bought a castle - and I thought I had diy/structural problems! Not recommended - unless you're the queen. Yet didn't people say the Queen Mother had loads of debts? Castles - only recommended if you can handle lots of stress and money worries!
My home is one no matter what others might say.
yup yup
