I have an Intex pool and i have cats. They have already punctured it several times which I have patched.?

Question:Does anyone have any ideas about how to keep the cats off of the pool, or at least keep them from sinking their claws into it? We have thought about drain pipe, vinyl flashing, getting rid of the cats (just kidding) any thoughts would be helpful, thank you

Wow someone else with the same problem we had and I thought I was the only one... we tried spraying the kitties with the hose when we caught them and this did not work, I placed cat scratch poles around it covered in cat nip and nope this did not work, then a friend suggested tin foil and it worked. Take your foil wrap and make it all wrinkled and crinkled and basically wrap your whole pool in it up as far as the little sweet hearts can reach, apparently they hate the feel of it on their paws. Yes I know it looks like an eye sore but it worked. The other thing you can do if you can stand the smell is take lots of moth balls and scatter them around the pool. Cats hate the small and usually keep clear, this is the old fashion way of keeping cats from pooping in flower beds, it is worth a go I never tried it but I have my fingers crossed for you.
