How do I get rid of a possum that's living under my house in LA, California?
Question:There's a crawl space under my house and I'm pretty sure a possum is living there - I closed up the crawl space entrance and I hear it scratching really lound around 11p.m. By neighbor had a possume a few months ago (maybe it's the same one) but he said it died.

There is absolutely no way to get rid of a possum ghost !!
You are stuck with it for the rest of your life (or at least as long as you live in THAT house ) !!
Otherwise, introduce this newcomer to the first Rottwieller you can borrow !!
you need to call Los Angeles Animal Control. They will come out and take care of this for you.

Get a cat trap, set out some food and water. Remember to check it daily.
I had one in the garage and it had babies in the pouch. Animal Control came and took it away.
Or call their office. They may provide the trap.
Call the local animal agency that takes care of strays and wild animals. Don't do it yourself, you might get bitten or hurt the animal as well. Once its gone, seal up that crawl space once and for all.
they sell traps that are humane... i've caaught several. it's easy.
