I am looking for a place that my wife and I can retire to. we like it warm year round but little humidity.?

Question:thinking western north and south carolina. I love to fish and like outdoors.

Answers:
i grew up in south carolina, and it is extremely humid, especially by the coast. if you're set on those states, maybe look into asheville, nc. the mountains there are beautiful, and it is cool and breezy a good part of the summer. there's great hiking, and great lakes and rivers to fish in. my in-laws live there, and we love to visit. also, my sister went to college in boone, nc (further north, by the virginia border) and it is beautuful there, too. places like chimney rock, banner elk, and blowing rock would be great retirement places. in all of western north carolina, though, you're going to get some snow in the winter, and it does get cold (although not as cold as the midwest or the northeast).

have you thought about the southwest? it does get very hot there, but it's not as humid. my dad has a house in st. george, utah, and it is gorgeous there.

the person above me mentioned charleston, which is wonderful; so much history, and beautiful beaches, too. my husband grew up in charlestone and loves it. the only thing about it is that it is SO humid in the summer. you're dripping wet as soon as you step outside. that's actually a big part of the reason my in-laws moved from there to asheville, because they were so sick of the humidity. that's the trade-off for the living by the ocean, i guess.

The Rio Grande Valley in Texas. Although property taxes will kill ya!
well i heard the capital of the Dominican republic is nice its warm year round and there's good fishing there and the exchange rate is 33 pesos for 1 american dollar
north carolina is very nice. i wood go there
Charleston, South Carolina.
I have traveled both coasts of the states and Europe extensively and I think it is one of the best places on earth. There is something there for everyone and the people are nice. It is also close to Francis Marion National Park and other outdoor activities.
The Carolinas sound about right.

Any tropical place will be humid.
St. George, Utah. It's warm year round, the humidity is around 15% and there are many retirement communities there. Fishing and other recreation areas are close by too. I have a few relatives who live there and they all love it!
As much as I absolutely love living in NC, we are NOT known for having little humidity. In fact, we've got humidity to spare. I would think a state like Florida or something further west would be more appropriate in that respect. Other than that, I think NC or SC (Charleston is nice) are nice choices. :)
