Ant Problems!?
Question:I've done everything I know to get rid ants! I've sprinkled stuff around the house, I've sprayed stuff but it only kills them instantly and doesn't stop future invasion. I've even gotten those little things that there supposed to take to the colony and and die. Nothing has worked and there driving me crazy! Please help!

Your best option is this product called Terro. It is some gel substance and you apply a amout onto piece of inch by inch cardboard and set it around. It attracts the ants.they eat it...carry it back....and literally kill the colony. I live in a trailer...as soon as summer starts the ants come out of the woodwork...literally. Now I'm ant free. Have been for about 4 months now. You can probably find it at Wal-Mart...but I get mine at our local hardware store. I promise you wont be disppointed. If you carry it out and keep setting it around after they eat it all. Its a guarentee!
I have heard peppermint oil works wonder. Put a few drops on a rag and wipe your counters and things with it. I haven't tried it yet but I am going to.

They are coming in for water. In the past week I have had the same problem but by keeping my kitchen and bathroom counters clean, free of dirty dishes, and drying out the sink after each use have reduced the invasion somewhat. I have also sprayed and nothing works.
I had the same problem. When my aunt came to visit she stayed for over a month, using the remote, telling the kids what to do, basically being a pest. I tried everything to remove her but nothing worked, (pesticide didn't even make her sick...) I too fear future invasions, I understand how they drive you crazy, I couldn't kill mine no matter how hard I tried.

Ant´s may stage a wet weather invasion of a house to escape from water logged nest outside. If you take away their favorite snack´s , which are , sugar jam, cakes and crumbs of all kinds, along with splashes and spillages of grease , gravy and syrupy juices. Not saying your house is dirty , but any thing left uncovered is the first place they head for. So keep all food in tight lidded containers return food´s to the fridge, sweep up or hoover . If you can find out where they are coming from . Put black pepper in and around the entrance to their tunnel, They will then carry this into the tunnel & achoo. It will not kill them but it will move them on. The traditional method of pouring in boiling hot water into their tunnel´s seldom kills enough to eliminate them completely, as it will not reach the egg laying queen. But the black pepper will
