How to make our house more presentable on open day?

Question:hey guys, we have an open day this sunday, and as we are in the process of packing to move and still have stuff everywhere and not alot of places to put it, does anyone have any ideas on how we can make our home more presentable and inviting?
I've heard the old wives tale of biccys and flowers, but does this sort of thing really work?

Answers:
Keep as much 'clutter' off and out! Simmer some cinnamon sticks on the stove. Aromatherapy really works! If you can- put your stuff in a storage unit. It will be out of the way and all in one place when you are ready to move. Having your stuff out of there and showing how big and roomy it really is will be a bonus and you won't feel so overwhelmed! Less is more when you are showing a house! and easier to maintain while people are coming in and out! and please NO garbage ANYWHERE! Empty out ALL your trashcans! Good Luck!

Flowers look nice.

How long do you have!! I could waffle on and on about tidying and making a house look good!!

Stack as much of your packing as you can in one room - ensure kitchen and bathrooms are sparkling - lay the dining room table nicely - mirrors and windows should glow - garden and frontage should be immaculate - shut the dog out - no cooking smells like curry -
