How high from the ground should a bluebird house be placed?

Question:

Answers:
five feet seven and a half inches

a good distance where they wont get freaked out by people
Only about 4 or 5 feet per my birdhouse book.
High enough so cats can not reach them. I would say about 12 feet and away from a fence or a tree limb so nothing can bother them!
pretty high and do something so that squirrels and cats cant get into the house at the birds or food in them!! Main thing is dont have them too close to your house...I thought a feeder I could see was a good idea...geesh.good idea is I like bird poop..it was disgusting. Needless to say the birds got their food in our Canadian winter...FAR from my house lol.
