House warming party??
Question:i am having one on july 28th. I plan to do it like give a tour of the house and then just go outside on the backyard so i don't get a mess everywhere in the house.. since there will be little kids and some people who don't know how to act. and have dinner with paper plates outside and stuff would it work?? is there any other idea?

Arrange for shade outside. Be sure all the drinks are in ice in a large bucket or cooler. If it's going into evening, be sure there are bug repellant candles all around. Have a kiddie pool set up for the little ones. People should only come inside to use the bathroom. If you see people congregating inside, call them back outside. If it's a really hot day, you may have to allow some inside to cool off.
i think that you have it pretty well planned out. I would do it outside as well since you are having it in the summertime that is where most people want to be anyways! Just make sure none of the food sits out to long! If I remember correctly, things like potato salad have a 2 hour cutoff, do fruit salad too
If you don't want people in your house, why would you throw a house warming party?
