cats hate mothballs. available at any hardware store. they wont harm them, cats just cant stand the smell of them. toss in a couple of handfulls. bye bye kittys

Call the aspca or humane society
Contact city hall & put deposit on live animal trap. If it is a family, I also borrowed a large dog kennel so I could transfer the cat from the live animal trap's door to the kennel's door. This way I was able to reset the trap for the next cat. When done, call animal control to pick up cat(s). Make sure the kennel is returned and so was the animal trap, which you would receive your deposit in the mail (worked like that in my area).
