Apartment dwelling crickets?

Question:I live in a converted basement apartment. Each year during the months of Aug thru Nov, the back yard crickets have a free for all at my place. A male will get behind a large appliance and begin chirping which attracts females.

Pestisides are out of the question. If anyone knows of a natural repellant, I'd be very grateful.

Keep the crickets, their chirping will make you sleep better and besides, they say crickets in the house are good luck!
