What does a mattress pad do?

Question:

Answers:
Mostly it protects the mattress from stains, whether its from
spills or bodily functions. If something spills, you can get the
cover off before the spill goes thru and run the cover thru the
wash. Its sorta hard to do that to a mattress. Some mattress pads have a little more oomph , they may have a feather bed padding, or the miracle foam, which can make you bed a little more comfy.

It protects your mattress from spill stains etc. If you have a warranty on your mattress(which are usually good for 10-20yrs) and it starts to bow in the middle or any other problem that your warranty covers arises, when they come out to inspect it and there is the slightest stain on your mattress the warranty is void.
