I have ants in my house?
Question:I have f'n ants in my house ever since it rained. They just hangout under my baseboards. How do I get rid of them without fogging my house or calling an exterminator. I sprayed ant spray and then I see them walking all crooked and eventually die, but there are still alot. I have to mop my house 3 times a day.

Make extra sure that there is nothing there for them to eat. As in keep all food up and away and do your dishes IMMEDIATELY. After that, place out ant bait that they take back to the colony with them, killing multiple at once and spray insectide outside your house along the perimeter. You can get this at the hardware store. Good luck, ants are a real ***** in S. Florida.
Get the little poison bait traps, they always work for me. You put them in the trails, the ants take the poison back to the nest and it take a couple days to a couple weeks but then they're gone for good...
spray around the OUTSIDE of the house, so they never make it into your baseboards in the first place. Any home improvement store will have an outdoor defense spray that you need.

If you don't call an exterminator, or bomb your house daily for about a week, you won't get rid of them. It sucks, but thats just how persistent the little buggers are.
ants are harmless unless they are in your pants..
I've heard that if you draw a line of chalk, ants won't cross it. This would be a good thing to do while you set up ant traps in strategic locations.
use terro pco liquid ant bait, get like four of them and set em up around the house where they're at. That stuff is amazing.
Ant caching sticky pads. They are attracted to it as to them they think is food, but they get stuck to it and voilla!

You might want to look up other methods, but I have ants at my house too, and I think my parents use this crystal stuff. you sprinkle a perimeter around your house and it keeps the ants from getting inside. good luck

I had the same problem!! Go to just about any store like walmart, or any kind of feed or hardware store and get a bag of "Over and Out". It cost me about 20 bucks, but it was worth every penny. You sprinkle this outside around the edges of your house, and within a day or so they are all gone!! This happened to me two summers in a row, and I used this each time and never had problems with it again. It is in a big blue bag. Ask the sales person, they should be familiar with it...Good Luck!
Pour ten gallons of gasoline on the floor, that will kill them for sure.

We've always had problems with ants in the house. Pledge kills the ones that you can spray. You could also put down borax, they won't cross that. I use a "perimeter" spray. Supposedly they won't cross it, but they will touch it and take it back to the nest. That kills the nest.
