Question:I'm going to rent the Public Storage (the orange one) for one month.
Do I have to provide my own lock? Do they open on sunday? I can't find these info. at their web site.
Thanks!
Answers:
Yes, you do have to have your own lock. Sometimes, you can buy a good one from them.
They give you all the access passes to your storage 7 days a week.
I just stored mine. Makes me realize how MUCH stuff I have accumulated in 3 years. WOW
You are well come.
Yes, you do need your own lock.
Specific to your question, NO, you can purchase a lock from the storage facility. They will be at a premium price.
If you meant do they provide the lock, probably not. Very seldom if ever.
ADVICE: Sale the stuff as most likely you will bay a large amount of $$$ on storage fees, stop paying and the stuff will be auctioned off. So might as well dump the stuff now you are putting it in storage because you don't need it
I used to have a unit at Public Storage, and later one of those what "look like" PUDS/PODS. Anyway, "both" require that you have your own lock. When I had the unit Public Storage sold me a lock. You can, of course always buy your own lock at like Home Depot, Walmart, etc. Make sure it's the kind that can't be sawed thru. Mine changed over from a unit place to a wood crate type place. which meant that originally I could go in there anytime, but later could not because they would have to bring the crate to me and wait for me till I was finished. All I can suggest is you drive over there and look for yourself. It's probably posted on their door.
Yes you have to have your own lock, you can buy one from them,, but you can buy one much cheaper elsewhere.
They will give you a pass # to enter the main gate, So you should have access 24/7=365
