Do these electronic pest gadgets really work?

Question:We have roaches all over our yard from oak trees and wet conditions and now we are having problems with rats. I just saw some devices at Wal-Mart that are used to put out a impluse (?) and is used to drive away pests. Do these really work? Can they be used inside your home or garage?

Answers:
I bought a plug in model (rid-x) from QVC. I plugged it in and never had another spider in my house. { I have no idea if it would work outdoors.} This one emits a vibration at a level that insects can't stand. It doesn't kill any of them...just makes them move away.

ask if you can return the device if you can then buy it and try it and if it don't work after two week just return.
