How do I create a Bee friendly environment on my property?

Question:I'm very concerned about the collapsing Bee colonies as they are a keystone species and over 86% of US food production relies on this prolific pollinator.
I live in central Florida in a regular neighborhood, Can I, and if so how do I create a "Bee friendly" environment?
I've already thought of planting lots of flowers, but short of creating an actual bee hive (which I'm not interested in doing...), how do I make this a safe and attractive place for Bees to come and thrive?

Answers:
Clover, must be white, not red and argentine rape seed.the rape will grow tall. Bees are most important to Fl citrus crops, the hives yield orange blossom honey which is great. Clover honey is very light and clear, buckwheat is very dark honey but great tasting.

Oh i know, how about you create a bee hive so that the bees will come to you
