Usually the live underground, but they can also live in the spaces in your walls (if there is a crack) etc.

they make nests similar in appearance to wasps. but it seems they like to go for higher ground like the eves of your home.
They live in the ground.
If you have nests,spray them after dark with Raid wasp and bee blaster.
Be careful not to step on their nests when you're out in the yard as they're nasty little things.My sons friend that out!!
