I have been advised to complete my two storey house construction in one stretch and not in different stages?

Question:I wanted to complete the ground floor initially and then take up the first floor construction after calculating the finances available with me. My builder says that this could cause problems. He said that after completing plastering of the ground floor, if we take up construction of first floor house, the roof plaster in the ground floor ceiling could crack / peel off due the loads on it.

Is there any solution to avoid taking up both houses construction simultaneously

Answers:
If you want to finish off the lower floor and just leave the upper floor as just a shell, then there shouldn't be much of an issue with that. The load may cause cracks in the drywall on the ceiling, but it also might not and that is just a minor fix if it does. If you do go through with building it in stages, you will want to insulate the walls on the upper floor as part of the first stage.
