I'm planting some veggies today. What is the best way to grow killer tomatoes?
Question:
Answers:
Well I don't want my tomatoes to KILL anyone.but LOL here's State Fair Winning tomatoes...
~Plant laying stem sideways (pulls nutrients out of soil for Healthier, Strong Stems)
~For Blight control mix 1 cup bleach to 10 Cups water pour in soil where you are planting
~Fertilize with 5-10-10 (make ring around plant and don't let the fertilize get on the leaves or stem)
~For Bug control I use White lime (Not a pesticide) and helps the plant-calcium
~Stake and tie the plant when it starts leaning
~Sucker the plant when it starts blooming (This is a process of cutting away the smaller leaves to produce bigger tomatoes).
PS) I don't use any miracle grow either.
~Happy Eating, canning, juicing...
Tomato cages. Fertilizer (all natural please). Plenty of water & sunshine. And of course, good soil to start with.
Add a lot of Strychnine to the water. They'll be killers for sure.
Water them with miralce grow every other watering, and they will grow strong, quickly and you will be very happy with the results.
when you plant your tomato plants dig down deep enough to bury them up to the first set of branches and leaves. this will give you a very sturdy stalk when it matures (learned this from an old farmer and it is true!) cage them or stake them right away (beats trying to get a cage on the plant when it is bigger). prune any branches that are not fruit bearing. and I am a fan of miracle grow so I fertilize with it every 10 days. last year I had plants that were over 5 ft high and one plant produces over 45 tomato's! aslo if you notice any disease you might want to try powdered Sevin as a pesticide, it will not hurt the plants or the tomato's
load of fertilizer.
