My boyfriend's room, and subsequently my car seem to be INFESTED with ants...?

Question:I used ant traps and spray in my car... and we have traps in his room...but I can't really spray the bejesus out of it because he HATES the smell and it's somewhat toxic. What are some solutions? There is absolutely NO food up here.we're in Florida and there just seems to be a TON of ants with NO WHERE to go!

Answers:
Well killing the ants themselves does very little. You have to kill the queen. Do this by leaving poison sugar or that sort of thing. they'll collect it and bring it to the queen who will ingest it herself. You can actually buy poisons that work on this theory.

this can work but truthfully, ants are very hard to get rid of.

i think its your boyfriend.
i heard that if you put cornmeal out, they will carry it back to their homes and eat it. Then they will die becasue they cant digest it . It takes a few weeks for this to work.
Clean out the car and his room, call the extermanator to spray
both, he can sleep at a relatives house for awhile.
First come the ants, then come the cockroaches, then come
the mice, and finally the rat infestation.
Or find a cleaner boyfriend. :-})
