Bugs are eating my greens.?
Question:Some sort of bug is eating little holes in my oriental greens, probably flea beatles. Is there an organic repellent to stop them.
Answers:
Tobacco Tea. Boil 1 gallon of water with 1 pouch of REDMAN long cut chewing tobacco. Put the tobacco in a knee high stocking and tie it off and that becomes the tea bag. Let cool and apply via hose end sprayer. This is a topical poison to the bugs. For humans and animals it is so diluted it won't affect us. Re-application is needed after rain. It works for grubs in the lawn as well and for ant hills.
I don't know. My tomato plants have almost no leaves left. Whats up with that?
SharpShooter
Natural Insecticide
yes but also you need to go to a plant shop and buy some lady gud to they can eat the bad bug because some bug help you some are not help ful.
Crush red (hot) peppers in water, let them soak a couple of hours, strain, then spray your plants. It will repel the insects, and rain (or yourself when you harvest) will wash the pepper spray off.
I use a combination of neem oil & water. It's organic & safe up to 24 hours before harvesting. Just be aware that if you make it too strong that it may burn delicate leaves.
Ladybugs. The best thing in nature to get rid of unwanted insects
I know it's not organic (not even close), but if you really want to get rid of the pesky little things, sprinkle 7-Dust over your greens. Doesn't take much. And just wash them good when it comes time to pick them.
My dad used this in his garden for years and years with no ill effects to him or any other family member. And, I might add, he had a GREAT garden! :)
Take a little flower and sprinkle on your plants...may have to repeat if it rains heavy. But this will stick to the bugs legs and wings and will not come off. The more they move the more stuck they get! HA HA to the bugs!
